Opal is a hydrated amorphous form of silica. Pink Opal is a natural, pink coloured variety of Opal which is composed of Opal, Palygorskite and Chalcedony. It is generally opaque and does not have the characteristic “fire” present in precious Opal gems. Also known as Andean Opal or pink Andes opal, it is sourced from Peru.

This pink Opal is a mix of pinks, browns and blacks often with striations and dendrite patterns.
