Royal Swazi Jade with Pyrite Rough Piece 11.5cm.

Stunning, dark green Royal Swaziland Jade with tiny Pyrite inclusions. Fantastic collector’s piece of unprocessed, natural Jade. This deposit has become increasingly difficult to reach, so material will become scarcer as supply trickles out.

The colour is excellent, and mostly consistent throughout the material. With some veil-like or instrusive exposures of variably white to clear Chalcedony / Quartz. Fine traces of Pyrite throughout the material. From Swaziland. Very Good to A Grade. Size approx 11.5cm. Weight approx 360g.

GEOLOGICAL:

There are two distinct minerals commonly known as ‘Jade’, Nephrite and Jadeite (also known as Imperial). They were actually considered to be the same stone for centuries until chemical analysis proved otherwise.
