A great arrangement of rare Descloizite. Mostly brown to black with some nice rich reddish areas peeking through. From Berg Aukas, Namibia. Good to Very Good Grade. Size approx 3.5cm. Weight approx 30g.

GEOLOGICAL

Descloizite is a fairly rare secondary mineral species found in oxidized zones of lead ores. It occurs as cherry red to brown or nearly black. It was first discovered in Argentina in 1854. Descloizite forms as small prismatic or pyramidal crystals, usually seen as drusy coatings, stalactitic aggregates or fibrous masses.
