Very pretty sparkling drusy white to cream Calcite plate. From Namibia. Good to A Grade. Size approx 7cm. Weight approx 115g.

GEOLOGICAL

Calcite is a calcium carbonate mineral. It is colourless or white when pure but is found in a rainbow of different colours depending on trace elements present. Calcite is identified by its low Mohs hardness (3) and its high reactivity with even weak acids, such as vinegar.
