INTRODUCTION
Welcome to CRYSTALS COLOURS HEALING PROPERTIES!
Imagine being able to pick up ANY crystal in the world and immediately being able to say what its healing properties are. Sounds awesome, right? Well, thereâs a super easy way to do this!
When you first start working with crystals from an energetic perspective, figuring out âwhich crystal is for whatâ can feel like an impossible task. With thousands of stones, memorising individual crystal properties is simply impractical! Instead, letâs learn the healing properties of crystal colours.
Ten colour groups, ten sets of healing properties. And boom – you now know the basic healing properties of any stone in the world, just by assessing its colour!
HOW IT WORKS
The basic premise of this method is that there are healing properties in colour and that all crystals of a certain colour share certain energetic properties.
Letâs call them baseline properties. While every individual crystal has unique and special healing capabilities, what you can call âspecializationsâ in what they can do, they will also have a baseline of properties.
For example, letâs look at these 3 pink crystals: Rose Quartz, Rhodochrosite, Pink Andean Opal.
- Rose Quartz can teach the essence of true love, and help bring love back into an existing relationship.
- Rhodochrosite can assist in healing from sexual abuse and feeling un-loveable and unworthy of love.
- Pink Andean Opal is incredibly calming and nurturing and can offer deep hearted support during a spiritual awakening.
These are their specialised healing properties that theyâre known to be best at. But they also share a common set of healing properties. All three of these pink crystals have healing properties related to the heart chakra, relationships, love, self-love, peace, compassion and empathy. When you look at their specializations, you can see this baseline in them.
If you were to come across a pink Opal for the first time, youâd immediately know some of what it can do, just by being aware of its colour group’s healing properties. Or if you were wanting a crystal specifically to help you work on self love, youâd know you need a pink crystal.
CRYSTALS & THE CHAKRAS
The human body has 7 main chakra centres where it takes in and releases energy. We cover a bit of this in our free CRYSTAL BASICS Course, lesson 3: CRYSTALS & ENERGY. Each chakra is associated with a colour, and various energetic properties.
For example, the third eye chakra is generally seen as purple or indigo (dark purple-blue). The third eye chakra has to do with psychic abilities, intuition, visualisation, imagination, connection, self-knowledge, and so on. Purple and indigo crystals are generally aligned with the third eye chakra. So any crystal you pick up that is purple or indigo will have some or all of these properties in its baseline.
This is one way to start working with the crystal colour groups. Of course, if you arenât familiar with the chakras, this is probably not very helpful. We will definitely be doing an article on the chakras soon, but for now, letâs move on to the big 10.
THE BIG 10
These 10 colour groups are based on the work of the late Judy Hall, one of the modern worldâs crystal healing pioneers, and author of many well known crystal books (my favourite being The Crystal Bible). Without further ado, they are:
- PINK: Peach and pink
- RED: Red and orange
- YELLOW: Yellow, cream and gold
- GREEN: All green
- TURQUOISE: Green-blue and turquoise
- BLUE: Blue and indigo
- PURPLE: Purple, lavender and violet
- EARTHY: Brown and earth toned
- BLACK: Black, grey and silver
- WHITE: White and clear

1. THE PINK CRYSTAL COLOUR GROUP

Pink crystals resonate unconditional love and work with our heart chakra. Comforting and calming, they help us to relax and release anxiety. They are amazing emotional healers; helping us forgive, let go and overcome loss, while allowing us to tune into the vibration of universal love.
Crystals that are peach in colour are gentle energizers that unite the heart and the sacral chakra â combining love with action. This colour group is perfect for wearing for long periods of time.
2. THE RED CRYSTAL COLOUR GROUP

Red crystals resonate with the root and sacral chakra, energizing us and spurring us into action. These crystals relight the fires of our libido and stimulate our creativity. They are extremely stimulating and best for short-term use.
Orange crystals are the colour of vitality, and resonate with the energy of the sun â working with our sacral chakra. They stimulate both creativity and assertiveness â giving us the inspiration and grounding to get things done.
3. THE YELLOW CRYSTAL COLOUR GROUP

This colour group resonates with the sun and intellect.
Yellow crystals work with the solar plexus chakra, balancing emotion and intellect. These crystals are wonderful for cheering us up in the winter months by bringing us the warmth and energy of the sun.
Gold crystals represent wealth and abundance. They can also give courage and confidence. Gold is sometimes used to depict the Crown Chakra.
4. THE GREEN CRYSTAL COLOUR GROUP

Green crystals resonate with the heart chakra, giving us emotional healing and inspiring more compassion. Green is the predominant colour of nature, which is calming and soothing. This colour group is also associated with growth and growing, attracting abundance, and general healing.
5. THE TURQUOISE CRYSTAL COLOUR GROUP

This colour group resonates with higher levels of being. Communication, both physically and energetically.
Turquoise Crystals stimulate spiritual awareness and our metaphysical abilities. They instil a profound sense of peace and relaxation.
Working with the third eye, these crystals unite the heart with our intuition.
6. THE BLUE CRYSTAL COLOUR GROUP

Blue crystals resonate with the throat chakra and are the best stones to stimulate self-expression.

Indigo crystals link to the highest states of consciousness. They stimulate intuition and metaphysical abilities.
Placed on the third eye chakra, they are said to bring about a âmystical perceptionâ of the world, whilst placed at the soma chakra (a minor chakra above the third eye) they help us find our spiritual identity.

Purple crystals resonate with the crown chakra and are known to be of a very spiritual nature. They encourage a sense of selflessness in serving others.
Lavender and violet crystals have a lighter and finer vibration that links to the highest state of awareness. Associated to the third eye, this colour group can enhance psychic abilities, linking the third eye and crown to enhance communication with higher self and higher level energy.
8. THE EARTHY CRYSTAL COLOUR GROUP

Brown crystals are connected with the earth chakra and resonate cleansing and purifying energy.
These crystals are both grounding and protective.
They are able to absorb negative energy and harmful substances, while bringing us stability.
9. THE BLACK CRYSTAL COLOUR GROUP

Black crystals are strongly protective because they trap negative energy and transform it, making them also excellent detoxifiers.
Silver crystals can deflect negative and unwanted energy and strengthen the bodyâs natural protective shield.Â
10. THE WHITE CRYSTAL COLOUR GROUP

White and clear/colourless crystals carry the vibration of pure light, linking to the highest realms of being, and resonate with the crown chakra. They can provide a direct line of incoming energy from Divine Source.
These crystals are extremely powerful energizers, purifying and healing our auras and radiating energy out into our environments.
IN SUMMARY

This baseline will help you know the basic healing properties for any crystal in the world.
