The Mystic Cat is an online-only crystals & new age shop. We are based in the Western Cape, and we ship all over South Africa. We’ve been trading as The Mystic Cat since 2019. Prior to this, Shaz owned Earth DNA for over a decade.
Our ethos is old school – going back to basics, plastic free and nature friendly. We give personal attention to each person who shops with us. We wrap each order with love, after hand picking your items with intention.
Because care about our customers, we want you to have a special experience every time you shop with us. We’re honoured to be part of your journey!
We like to offer a really wide range of crystals that has something for everyone, from beginner crystal collectors, to advanced crystal healers, to those who seek unique and rare collectables.
While crystals are our first love and deepest passion, we also delight in bringing you spiritual tools and information.
The world is changing, and now more than ever we need to tap back into our spirit selves – that which is connected to the Divine and Mama Earth. Create your sacred space, live in sanctuary, and reconnect with what is real.
We have an epic range of titles in our bookshop covering tons of different new age topics. Plus, our free Info Hub and Crystal Blog offers over 100 articles, completely mahala. Learn and grow with us!

MEET SHAZ
Shaz is madly passionate about growing our own food as well as medicinal plants.
She’s been an avid gardener for most of her life, co-creating organic gardens that function as an ecosystem.
She is dedicated to the responsibility of Earth Stewardship.
Her spiritual philosophy is nature based.
Aside from extensive self study and exploration of many different spiritual modalities, she studied Wicca under two High Priestesses following different theologies for several years, and was initiated as a High Priestess herself.
She was then given an opportunity to apprentice under an American Shaman and learnt from the Twisted Hair tradition.
She has led many circles and performed ceremonies & handfastings in both KwaZulu Natal and Cape Town.

Shaz had a Crystal & Esoteric shop called Earth DNA for over a decade. First online (way ahead of it’s time), and then with a physical shop in KZN which she later relocated to Cape Town when she moved.
The Mystic Cat is a rebirth of her intention to connect people to tools for spiritual growth.
She loves sharing with people how to work with crystals in their every day lives.
MEET RUSSELL
Russell is a yoga and meditation teacher.
Having developed his practice for over a decade, he went on to complete a 200 hour Yoga Alliance approved teaching certification from the Source, where he facilitated yoga classes and meditation courses until our move to the farmstead.
He is passionate about the environment, loves spending time outdoors and hiking.
Russell is deeply drawn to sacred geometry, and loves combining sacred geometry with crystals in crystal grids.
At the beginning of 2019 he founded Zanta yoga, through which he offers classes and courses for studios, hotels and spas, as well as offering tailored classes for small groups and individual home sessions.
His meditation classes offer people the opportunity to explore techniques of training the mind to go within and experience calm, stillness, relaxation and peace.
He is called to help people live happier, healthier lives!
OUR DREAM
As the global environmental crisis has become more and more dire, so has our desire and need to live a more sustainable lifestyle. A life that has a gentler footprint on the earth and that is more in harmony with nature.
WE ARE CREATING A S P A C E THAT OUR SOULS HAVE CALLED FOR.
We look forward to sharing our experiences and tools with others, and hope to inspire those who long for change too, to answer their own soul calling.
IT BEGAN
Many years ago in terms of planting the seed of manifestation – we’ve both been dreaming about this for a very long time.
At the beginning of 2019, the seed we had nurtured finally took root. We found our little paradise – a completely overgrown, off the grid plot of land in the Overberg of the Western Cape.
SURROUNDED BY MOUNTAINS, WATERFALLS AND A RIVER,
THIS LAND IS THE HOME OF THE MYSTIC CAT FARMSTEAD.
It is from here that we continue to develop, grow and build our vision, and run The Mystic Cat online shop – completely off grid, naturally.

The Mystic Cat is an online-only shop, based in the Overberg of the Western Cape.
We are about a 30 minute drive outside of Swellendam, where we ship our packages from.
